Joseph Delmastro is a Policy Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute. He grew up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin before moving to Southport, North Carolina and later attending University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At Chapel Hill, he was involved in local campaigns for Chapel Hill and Raleigh City Council and graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Minor in German Studies. After college, he worked two cycles with the Democratic Party of Wisconsin as both a field organizer and researcher. After his fellowship with PPI, he hopes to transition towards policy work and use his on-the-ground experience from swing state organizing to take on topics important to working class voters.
